Polyvinyl Chloride, PVC Insulated FRC Cable | UL2468


UL2468 is an independent style of Flat Ribbon Cable, also known as FRC cable. It is insulated by PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride), with rated temperature 80°C and rated voltage 300V. There are usually three types of conductor, available as AS, TS, and TC.


AS = Annealed Stranded, no plating.
TS = Tinned Stranded, all copper wires are tinned firstly before stranding process.
TC = Top Coated, all copper wires are stranded together firstly before tinning treatment.


The conductor size can be optional from 32AWG to 16AWG, with pin quantity ranges from 2P to 150P. While insulation color is to be determined per request. The most common are black and gray.

 End Treatment of FRC Cable UL2468

UL2468 is to be cut and ends treated, usually stripped, before wiring application. Some professional manufacturer provides such process. But due to the limit of the machine, most factories fail to process stripping of very short length. The short cable body is damaged so easily via the stripping process. In WCH Cable factory, this has been solved well. Very short length of UL2468 is successfully operated per requirement.
